Patti Haswell - A Problem Solving Esthetician

I grew up in Colorado where I really learned to love nature.  Hiking, mountain biking, and skiing were all regular activities in my family.  This love of nature and the environment translated itself into my first career.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design where I focused on environmentally friendly “Green” design.  I worked in design for several years before the economy started to take a dive.

With jobs few and far between I decided to expand my skills.  Lucky for me I knew the right people and began working as a bookkeeper.  Yes, I am both creative and analytical, right and left brained.  This was wonderful and I was grateful to have a job, but I was not finding the fulfillment that I was looking for. 

After some deep soul searching I decided to go back to school to become an esthetician.  My Dad calls me the “eternal student”, partly because I have gone through so many years of school, but also because I am always reading or taking a class.  I think there is always more you can learn no matter what the topic.  I love to learn, but what good is that unless you can share it with others.

Skin care has always been an essential part of my life.  My Grandma and Mom both take very good care of their skin and stressed to me the importance of using good quality products.  Growing up in one of the healthiest states in the country I know how vital it is to take care of yourself on the inside and out.  What we do to our bodies, positive or negative, comes through on our skin.  I try to stay as natural as possible with what I put in my belly or on my face.  I am drawn to natural products, but I also recognize that using science can take these natural ingredients even further. 

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work with Michelle. She's so wonderful to share with me everything she has learned over the years.  I am truly grateful that I have found a career where I can use my analytical and creative problem solving techniques to help others.  There is no greater joy than helping someone feel good about themselves and boosting their confidence with healthy, naturally radiant skin.
