Ice Facials and Frozen Skin Hacks | TikTok Myth Busters

This week on TikTok Skin Mythbusters, we're discussing the beloved ice cube facials.

TikTok says rubbing frozen spoons, ice rollers, or actual freezer cubes (please don't) all over your face will "close pores," tighten skin, and create an instant glass-skin effect.

Cute in theory. Misleading in practice.

Cold can temporarily reduce puffiness and make skin appear tighter for a short period of time, but pores do not open and close like little windows. And quite frankly, the ice itself is generally much too harsh for the majority of skin types.

If enlarged pores are your concern, the real issue is usually congestion, excess oil, collagen loss, or genetics...not a lack of frozen utensils.

The professional verdict: Ice can temporarily de-puff. It canNOT perform esthetic miracles.

What actually helps:

  • Professional exfoliation
  • Routine extractions
  • Collagen stimulation
  • Pore-refining ingredients

Because your freezer is not a facial room.

If you're ready for a real pore reset, book your next treatment OR check out some helpful products below. Sorry, can't find these in the utensil drawer.
